YWCA Computer Training Classes

All 8 hour classes are 9 AM – 1 PM each day.

Textbook and CD included with each 8 hour class.

EXCEL 2007

Basic - $125

Enter and edit data, labels, and formulas. Work with functions, format cells, print worksheets, and create charts.

 

Intermediate – $125

Use 3-D formulas, use multiple worksheets, apply special formatting, sort and filter lists, work with templates, chart trendlines.

 

Advanced - $130

Create nested functions, export/import data, perform what-if analyses, use the Goal Seek and Solver utilities, record and run macros, and use PivotTables.

ACCESS 2007

Basic – $125  

Plan and create a database, work with tables, create queries and forms, filter records, and generate reports.

 

Intermediate$125 

Setting table relationships. creating and using LOOKUP fields, creating and using PivotTables.

 

Advanced$130

Query with SQL; use crosstab, parameter, and action queries; create and run macros; import, export, and link database objects.

POWERPOINT 2007

Basic – $125  

Create presentations using Slide Layouts.  Work with AutoShapes, text boxes and images..

 

Advanced – $130  

Create and modify templates, build a custom slide master, insert multimedia elements, add and modify action buttons.

 

SHAREPOINT DESIGNER 2007

Basic – $125  

Teaches the core features and functions of this new web publishing software. Create and apply templates and style sheets.  Insert, modify and arrange images, create links and navigation bars, insert and format tables.

 

Advanced – $130  

Builds on the skills and features taught in Basic. Create dynamic components, work with multimedia files, design with layers, create tables and forms. 

 

 

Windows Vista Overview   Cost:  $75

This ½ day workshop will provide a brief introduction to the new look and feel of Windows Vista.  Explore the new features and functions with Windows management.

 

Office 2007 Overview   Cost:  $75

This ½ day workshop will provide a brief introduction to the new look and feel of Office 2007.  Explore the new features with exercises in Office 2007 applications.
